Every successful weight loss method relies on diet and exercise. These are the most succesful and health-conscious ways to gain control over your weight. The reasons diet and exercise can help you lose weight come down to the main motto of weight loss: take in fewer calories than you burn and you will lose weight. So long as you burn 1200 calories daily, you can easily eat 1200 calories of donuts everyday and still lose weight. However, it is not a healthy way to lose and your body can actually starve while eating enough ‘calories.’ It is important to eat calories that will provide the proper nutrition for your body to keep it running. The proper types of foods, ie: vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish and chicken will also help to stimulate your metabolism where high fat foods will slow it down making it harder to burn calories.

Exercising will make pounds melt off and improve their health for most people developing a good, solid plan of eating right. Before starting an exercise program or making changes in your diet, you should ensure that your plan is healthy, balanced, and that you are physically well enough.
