i’m 16 years old 5′5 137 lbs. i want to lose 20-30 lbs but i don’t have a lot of time to exercise. i walk a lot, but i can only get to the gym once or twice a week–3 times if i’m lucky. what can i do to lose weight relatively quickly if i can’t exercise that much?
oh and PLEASE don’t say i don’t need to lose 20 lbs. that isn’t going to change my mind about wanting to lose the weight.

1Cut calories, but not ridiculously.
Don’t eat cafeteria food, and drop the fast food altogether.
That being said, (you don’t need to lose 30 pounds!)

2hill sprints…
10 a day, at least a 100 yard hill decently steep, sprint up it at full speed, walk back down, and repeat. shouldn’t take longer than 20 minutes.
they’re brutal and can sometimes work you to tears or vomitting, but i’ve never seen a way to burn off so much fat so fast.

3you can go on a diet but that’s not really healty. it’s better to watch what your eating instead of forcing yourself to starve. you can do jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups, drink milk, water, and eat healthy things like vegetables and fruit. hope this helps!

4My sister is ten and she ways that much so I know what you are going through so STOP EATING! My sister is 127 pounds at ten and she doesn’t stop eating and she gains and gains and gains so don’t eat that much eat lower calorie food and if you eat like carrots and stuff but don’t eat junk whatever you do no cake no cupcakes no nothin HEALTH remember that.Exercise as much as you can.

5Woman’s Health Magazine has a lot of at home work outs. I have been doing this one for a week (URL at bottom) and been watching what I eat (whole foods, no sugar, low carbs, high protein) I have lost 5 lbs.! I am 5 9′ and 130 lbs BTW.
My routine is:
1.Stretch
2.10 min warm up (jog in place, jumping jacks, ect.)
3. The 7 circuits from the site (10-15 reps each)
4. 10 more min. of cardio (step 2)
5. Stretch
DONE! takes about 30 min and, I have a banana, peanut butter smoothie right after to help repair muscle. Its hard work you sweat alot and are VERY sore the next day..but it work for me!

6Getting to the gym 2-3 times a week is FINE. You don’t need to try to get in there more often than that.
As far as loosing weight, you need cardio. Look up some info on a target heart rate. Now do things that will get your heart rate up to that. Aerobics, cycling, elliptical, treadmill, jumping jacks, whatever you enjoy. Try signing up for one of the classes like kickboxing. Do 30 minutes of cardio every time you are in the gym. Not only will it help you lose weight but it will get you feeling much healthier too.
As for the weight loss, here is a BMI calculator. You are normal now but you are looking at your body and even when you lose the 20 lbs you will still be in the normal range so there is nothing wrong with you wanting to lose some weight.
